External QA

Whether your internal team is busy hunting bugs and doesn’t have time to tend the fire, or you don’t have an internal team, the CPS Quality Assurance team will step in and integrate seamlessly into your environment. How can we do this from our offices in Portland, Oregon? We have developed a process that allows us to work as though we were side-by-side with your development and QA teams. We begin with a kick-off meeting at your site or over the phone, introduce ourselves, and gather your requirements for our services. We post our notes from this discussion on a client web site that we setup just for you complete with secure login. We keep all our contact information, status reports, QA and test plans at the ready at this site for your perusal night or day. We attend your meetings, provide weekly status reports, and yell loud and clear when we find large issues so you can hear us even if you’re on the other side of the canyon.

The AdaptiveQA process is integral in our approach to client projects. We assign a QA Lead at the outset of the project who will use AdaptiveQA to develop an approach that meets our client’s requirements including the specifics of our client’s business environment. For a short-term fire drill where a client discovered the need for our services late in the game, we may jump in and start testing with minimal process development in order to find any large issues as quickly as possible facing an impending deadline. Given more time, we may sketch out a test outline that we follow using our internal test team to provide our client with the confidence that their product is ready to ship, or with the information that they need in order to prepare their product for shipment. For our clients that have the foresight and who understand the benefits of using a professional QA team early in the process we will begin working with their engineers at the design phase on a part time basis. This allows us to better understand what we need to test and when, what technologies we need to be familiar with, and what it will take in time and personnel to test a product for release. We adapt our process as we go to ensure that we are testing the appropriate features at the right time. We understand time and budget pressures and work accordingly as though we here the distant drum beats of restless natives approaching.
